Meat cuts unpicked at Keelham during National Butcher's Week

We have found out that six out of ten young adults admit they barely know one end of cow from the other - but would welcome more facts about the meat cuts they buy and how to cook them. The research, commissioned by meat industry body EBLEX, has prompted us to organise a week of demonstrations to help them. Wrap a rose for Mum and Marie Curie Cancer Care

It's Mother's Day on Sunday and we are running a great activity for the kids to make a lovely present for Mum and raise some money for charity too. Kyle to represent England in top young butchers competition

We are so proud of Kyle for being selected to represent England in the International Young Butcher's Competition which is being held in Holland later this year. Kyle was chosen by industry body The National Federation of Meat and Food Traders to undertake intensive training ahead of the competition. It will see the English team competing for glory alongside contestants from six other European countries - Austria, France, Germany, Holland, Luxembourg and Switzerland for the team award and the coveted title of 'International Young Butcher of the Year'.
